I wonder if April 1st is considered a high-anxiety day? How many of us move through that day wondering when or if we will be pranked? And are we truly fools if we fall for the prank?
What does the BIBLE say about FOOLS?
The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds, there is none who does good.
Psalm 14:1
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Proverbs 1:7
The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man listens to advice.
Proverbs 12:15
Like snow in summer or rain in harvest, so honor is not fitting for a fool.
Proverbs 26:1
A fool gives vent to his spirit, but a wise man quietly holds it back.
Proverbs 29:11
“For my people are foolish; they know me not; they are stupid children; they have no
understanding. They are ‘wise’ – in doing evil! But how to do good they know not.”
Jeremiah 4:22
But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother will be liable to the council; and whoever says, ‘You fool!’ will be liable to the hell of fire.
Matthew 5:22
And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.
Matthew 7:26
For the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
1 Corinthians 1:25
But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong.
1 Corinthians 1:27
Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
Ephesians 5:17
For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another.
Titus 3:3
BUT when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit whom he poured out on us richly
through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
Titus 3:4-7
Knowing God’s Word is so important – let’s dig into it together so that we can mine its riches and not remain foolish. If you are interested in joining a small group, watch for information on the SGM board, go to www.TecumsehCove.org/SGM or contact:
