Always Of Good Cheer

Leadership Notes

I cannot say enough about what an absolutely delightful day Sunday was. The way Covenant Church worships touches this pastor’s heart. You can tell we desire to praise God, giving Him the glory and honor for creating the beauty that is this world and saving us from sin and death. It’s in our singing and praying and expressions of “Amen” and “Hallelujah.”

Following worship, our Annual Meeting was more celebration and less business meeting. As it should be. While we didn’t cover everything that goes on in the life of our church, we celebrated everything that goes on in the life of this church. Thank you, again, for your faithfulness and generosity.

On top of all that, the food you all contributed was worthy of a social media post {you know, the way people take pictures of food}. Great variety and deliciousness. By the time I got home, though tired from a busy morning/early afternoon, I was satiated by the fruit of awesomeness here at Covenant Church. Have I told you lately how much I love the people of Covenant Church?

Here’s the purpose of our worship and servant-hearts. We exist to share and magnify that Jesus Christ is the:

* WAY

* TRUTH

* LIFE

* VINE

* WORD

* LIGHT

* ALMIGHTY

* RESURRECTION

* HOLY ONE

* SON OF GOD

* LORD OF GLORY

* HEAD OF THE CHURCH

* ALPHA AND OMEGA

* KING OF KINGS

* LORD OF LORDS

* POWER OF GOD

* ONE AND ONLY SAVIOR

Jesus is worthy of all worship, now and forever.

- Rudy Cerda

And now, your Moment of Spurgeon:

“A Christian should go to his bed at night without an anxious care

as to whether he shall wake up in this world or in the next. He

should so live that nothing would need to be altered if his last

hour should strike.”

- “Concerning Death,” September 26, 1886

Always of Good Cheer,

Richard
