Leadership Notes

Many of the public schools in our lovely state are starting back up in four weeks. You don’t need a calendar to tell you that. The back-to-school sections in stores and smiles on children’s faces tell the story.

Which means, we are in the final push of our Backpack Blowout. In less than two weeks we’ll serve the essential needs of families in our area. What a privilege it is to be used by God in this great work.

You have generously contributed a wide variety of the needed items. Let’s finish with a flourish. Children and their families will be blessed because God has called us to be a blessing to our community. Time for one last shopping trip!

And now, your Moment of Spurgeon:

JESUS WAS REGARDED AS IF ALL THESE SINS WERE HIS SINS,

WAS PUNISHED AS IF THESE SINS WERE HIS SINS, WAS PUT TO

SHAME, FORSAKEN OF GOD, AND DELIVERED TO DEATH AS IF HE

HAD BEEN A SINNER; AND THUS THROUGH DIVINE GRACE THOSE

WHO ACTUALLY COMMITTED THE SINS ARE PERMITTED TO GO FREE.

With Much Love and Gratefulness,

Richard
