How We "Church"

How do we "Church" at Covenant?

TL;DR version:

"We love God, we treasure God's Word and we help people."

Worship Services

WORSHIP SERVICES

10:00am - This service is a delightful grab bag of who knows what's going to happen? There may be choir, praise band, piano, organ, quartets, solos and whatnot. (Don't ask what a whatnot is. I think it's a cross between a hut-zut and a saroozaphone)

Children

Children

Covenant Church is passionate about securing the salvation of the next generation. Toward that end we offer multiple ways to help love and grow your children in Jesus.

Nursery

The nursery is open every Sunday, and operates as a cry room on those Sundays when volunteers may be unavailable.

Cove Critters [P-6 grade]

Children's Sunday School
THROUGHOUT THE SCHOOL YEAR ON SUNDAYS AT 9 AM

Kids don't typically just "find God" on their own. They need guidance, care, love and nurturing. If you're a parent you know how important those things are to your mini-you's development. We love children and want to help them get to know Jesus!

TC Kids [ages 6 - 5th grade]

Tecumseh Covenant Kids
TC Kids is our take on children’s church! We want your kids to be as involved with the grown-ups in church as possible but we understand that a grown-up sermon might be hard for them to understand, so, we have a space for them to go! After our worship music portion of church, kids will head out to their own classroom to get spiritually fed on their own levels. They will meet, pray, and learn to love Jesus every Sunday of the month (unless there are 5 Sunday’s in a month… the 5th Sunday will be a break).

Vacation Bible School [VBS]

For one week in the summer our entire campus receives a VBS makeover to reach kids who not only attend Covenant, but those who might never otherwise visit a church.

Exciting games and activities, engaging bible stories and a staff of volunteers who go above and beyond the call of duty; all make VBS at Covenant a great example of the ethos "Pray as though it's all up to God but work as though it's all up to us".

Adults

Adult Sunday School

MEETS SUNDAYS DURING OUR FALL - SPRING SCHEDULE AT 9 AM

Adulting is hard. Let us help. You have:

  • Bills to pay

  • Jobs to do

  • Drama to avoid.

Adult Sunday School is none of those things.

There are multiple groups that meet Sundays at 9am. Each studies a different topic. Don't be afraid to explore! If you Plan Your Visit we can help guide you toward the group that will help you grow.

Men's Breakfast

MEETS SECOND SATURDAY OF THE MONTH AT 8:30 AM
[CHECK CHURCH CALENDAR FOR OCCASIONAL CHANGES]

It's a bunch of guys eating together way too early on a Saturday morning and talking about guy stuff. What more needs to be said?

Women's  Group

MEETS SECOND SATURDAY OF THE MONTH AT 10 AM
[CHECK CHURCH CALENDAR FOR OCCASIONAL CHANGES]

It's a bunch of women doing... I don't really know. I'm not invited. Because I'm a guy. Call Lorrie in the office, she probably knows.

Small Group Ministry

SGM Logo.jpg

Small Group Ministry is intended to enable God’s people to grow spiritually and mature together in the Word of God by using the unique qualities and strengths that are found in smaller groups. The ultimate goal is to form cohesive bonds between current believers while opening up opportunities for those outside our radius to come to know Christ, His followers, and His plan for us in a more intimate way thus increasing God’s Kingdom.

Greeters and Ushers

"Greeter" is pretty self-explanatory, they greet people as they arrive. They hold the door, shake your hand, offer you a program and maybe even smile at you!

Maybe...

"Usher" on the other hand is a bit more obscure. These holy ne'er-do-wells carry fancy plates and steal your money.

Well... steal isn't exactly the right word. More like "provide you with the opportunity to hand over the contents of your wallet and purse".

Hmmmm... That sounds more like a mugger.

Ushers pass you the plates during the offering time in a worship service. Silliness aside, we don't expect you to contribute to the church if you're a visitor.
