Chris Nevins is the Director of Youth and Family Ministries at Covenant Church and loves helping others find their "voice" in the body of Christ. He has spent over a decade empowering and equipping people of all ages and walks of life discover their purpose and identity in the adopted family of Christ. In August, 2008, Chris received God's call to explore a deeper life in ministry. After walking through the many doors presented to him by God, Chris earned a B.A. in Pastoral Ministry (worship emphasis) from Spring Arbor University in 2014.

Chris' role at "The Cove" makes up half of his vocational duties as he also works part-time doing remodeling and home maintenance work. Chris is a licensed builder and has been doing business since 2003. Chris and his wife Kelly have been raising their four children (Brynn-18, Brett-17, Reese-15, Trinity-13) and calling Tecumseh their home since joining the community in 2000.

Chris anticipates a great season of harvest for Covenant Church and our great city of Tecumseh. With many "seeds" to plant and nurture, Chris and the team look forward to moving past the incessant trends and fads of contemporary student ministry. Instead, moving toward a type of "Jesus culture" in order to develop a sustainable, intentional, and distinguished ministry. Hallmarks of Chris' ministry style are Discipleship, Spirituality, and Christian Living, following the model so perfectly demonstrated by Christ.
